Enlarged
Prostate Summary &
Conclusions
I had all
of the typical symptoms of an enlarged prostate:
A weak stream of urine when stopping and starting
urination
Difficulty starting urination
Dribbling of urine, especially after urinating
A
sense of not emptying the bladder
Leaking of urine
More frequent urination and a strong and sudden
desire to urinate, especially at night
In my
case, it was # 6 (need to urinate at night) that pushed
me over the edge. I was simply unable to get a
decent night's sleep and that started to effect every
other area of my life.
I was
constantly sleepy ...........
In
addition, # 4 (never feeling *empty*) was unbelievably
uncomfortable. That *sense or feeling* of having
to relieve myself was ever present.
I tried
Saw Palmetto and it seemed to help for a week or so, but
the relief it provided was temporary. I am the
type of person that did not want to take a pill every
day for the rest of my life if I could avoid it.
My prostate was normal size in terms of total mass and my
problem was tissue growth on the *inside* of my prostate
that was pinching / squeezing the urethra.
My doctor
wanted to look inside my bladder to make sure that I did
not have any tumors, etc ..... that's right, he put the
endoscope up my penis .... and before that procedure,
I was one anxious dude
!
and guess what .... I did not feel a thing !!
Before the
procedure, the nurse squeezed a syringe full of topical
anesthetic into my urethra.
They did not use a needle
... I want to be very clear about that fact.
They
took the needle off of the syringe and just put the tip
of that plastic snout on the syringe into the opening on
the head of my penis ,,,, that's it.
Gotta tell you that *my johnson* never seemed smaller
... it was like a turtle trying to pull its head back
into its shell.
In about
15 minutes, they put the endoscope in me and the only
thing I felt was when the tip of the endoscope went into
my bladder ,,, it was momentarily uncomfortable, but not
painful at all.
Now for
the *surprise* I promised ........
